Well it took a bit of time to get back to you - I guess I was too busy relaxing and enjoying myself! I am now in the UK but I just had to post pictures of the delightful Provencal cottage we stayed in during our holiday in France - on a converted lavender farm near the beautiful hilltop village of Saignon.

The cottage has been refurbished in a typical French 'shabby chic' fashion - beautifully casual yet very comfortable. To the front were views across autumnal lavender fields (sadly, already harvested) and beyond to Mount Ventoux. At the back was a huge garden with fruit trees and a beautiful swimming pool.
As you can imagine - it was very hard to leave this place!
Typical rural style kitchen - complete with all mod cons! |
Beautiful detailing (and the odd used beer bottle being our contribution!) |
Blue and white decor throughout - cushion covers in typical Provencal fabrics |
There's even a jar for curry powder! |
Pastis anyone? Or perhaps a nice glass of Cotes de Ventoux? |

Cute bedroom in the eaves... |
...with glorious views across freshly mown lavender fields... |
...and an ensuite bathroom with a standalone tub |
Antique chair outside the second bedroom |
Our very own feline resident! |
Pretty garden to the rear |
Barbecue and outdoor seating area to the side of the house |
Our private swimming pool - but a bit too cold to swim in at the end of September! |
View across the hewn lavender fields to the mountains beyond.
Interesting tree in the foreground which looks like it has been struck by lightening. |
The view every sun down |
The view from our bathroom! |
